To try and give something back we’re engaging in a number of local projects, liasing with you to see what you want from us, and just generally spreading the local love.

LOCAL ORGANICALLY GROWN FLOWERS: We are so, so proud to announce that we stock flowers from the wonderful company Wealden Flowers. Run by husband-and-wife team Arjen and Margarita Huese: together they sow, plant, weed and grow the flowers for the wholesalers and the local florists in the area.

They use exclusively organic and biodynamic methods of horticultural production, and they never use any chemical pesticides or fertilisers.

THINK LOCALLY: A wonderful organisation; they collate local & independent businesses together in a beautiful book, and distribute them to create a guide to your city's local & independent businesses, to keep the local love alive :)

ART: Many of you will know Christine as she works with us in the shop. Like Tina, her talents don't end in floristry. Christine is studying fine art and loves to explore printing techniques. She makes gift cards that are sold in the shop (see right for a couple from her valentines range 2012) & has a portfolio which you can browse online...

GARDENING: As a regular customer and now friend, Heidi is a wonderful person who has aspirations of creating gardens with herbs and plants to suit your lifestyle. Studying horticulture means that everytime she comes to buy her flowers she shares a snippet of her knowledge, and is keen to utilise this in her work.

PHOTOGRAPHY: Our favourite photographer is Katariina Jarvinen of Light Trick Photography. We met her through the Think Locally shoot, but have made a couple of bouquets for her shoots since. She's knowledgeable, friendly & professional... highly recommended.
