How to Find Out Someone’s Favourite Flower

Flowers are one of the most thoughtful and personal gifts that you can give someone and they are one of the most popular gifts to receive, as they are loved by most people!

You can go just that bit further to make flowers even more special by gifting someone their favourite flowers. If you don’t know what someone’s favourite flower is and you want to surprise them, there are a few ways you can find out without actually asking them:

Personality

Flowers are a great way to express your personality and mood. So if you aren’t sure which flowers are someone’s favourite, try thinking about their personality first and how flowers can perfectly reflect that.

If they are a lover of a certain season then picking flowers and colours that are associated with that season is a safe bet. Another thing to think about is the type of person they are, are they a confident, loud and bright person? Then a big, bright bouquet that is full of vibrant colours would be an excellent choice. If they are more of a shy, understated person then something simple and elegant would suit them well.

Home décor

Another simple way to tell what type of flowers someone may like is by looking at their home decor. If their home is decorated in a minimalist way then once again, something simple and understated may be more to their liking.

If they have any pictures up in their home, take a look to see if any feature flowers or bouquets of flowers as this could be a good indication as to what they prefer.

Additionally, if their home is decorated with a bit of an eccentric style, then a bouquet that features some ‘wild’ looking plants and isn’t as neat and immaculate would be a good option.

Clothing

Looking at the type of clothes someone wears can also give you a great indication to the type of flowers that they may like. If they like to wear a lot of a certain colour, then it is a good idea to find a bouquet that incorporates that colour.

If their wardrobe features lots of different colours, then a colourful bouquet will be well received by them. The same principle applies if they have a muted wardrobe, find a lovely bouquet that features neutral colours.

If they like a strong floral scent, then take a look to see if the bottle gives away what types of scents have been used. If they aren’t too keen on floral scents, then take a look for bouquets that have a far fresher scent rather than sweet and floral tones.
